Simon Sabin in Dublin to talk about how SQL Server joins tables together

Simon Sabin, a UK SQL Server MVP & a regular speaker here in Ireland, is in Dublin this week and will present to the SQL Server Ireland User Group on “Find out what most people don’t understand. How SQL Server joins tables together. Its not magic”.

Almost all queries have to do two things, get data and join it together. In this session we will look at the aspects of these that most people think they know but in reality don’t.

It will be held at the SQL Server Ireland’s usual venue in the Microsoft Atrium from 18:30, this Thursday, November 22nd.

Prodata SQL Training

Prodata have organised a couple of SQL Training events in the next month.

Thomas Kejsers’ Super Scaling Session:

Thomas Kejser is to deliver a one day session, on Friday, Novembers 23rd,  entitled “Super Scaling SQL Server”. For those of you who do not know Thomas Kejser, he is a global leader in scalability having worked as a senior member of the SQLCAT team and now the CTO of fusion IO specialising in high end scalability, performance tuning and bench marking.

This session is aimed at professionals working or planning to work with the most challenging high performance environments.

MasterClass Series:

Prodata are once again running a SQL Master Class Series for 2012/13. The next half day deep dive, Thursday, December 6th,  is to be delivered by Bob Duffy and is entitled “SQL Azure & the cloud for SQL professionals”. This is a non-profit event so is priced at only 100 euro for the session or 350 euro for the entire years programme.
